We’re making some updates in our local history/genealogy room, to make it easier to use.

Items in the local history room could be of interest to anyone in from Whitchurch-Stouffville, but if you have a family history in the area there could be even more for you: try looking up your family name in the catalogue and seeing if we have a file on your family history! You can also find churches and cemeteries, local landmarks, organizations and events.

As our work continues, even more will be searchable in our catalogue.

We’re also looking for some help. We have almost a complete set of yearbooks from Stouffville District Secondary School, from the 1950s till now (feel free to come in and look for your classmates and clubs!), but we’re missing some, and if anyone out there has any yearbooks from these years that they’d like to give to the library, we’d appreciate it:
